Record of discussion held on 06.07.2023 to review the status of Greening/ Plantation Action Plan for the year 2022-23 in Delhi. Vide this MOM the following directions have been issued for GNCTD:
All the agencies were directed to provide below mentioned details on or before 10th July, 2023:
i. Plantation details for the year 2022-23.
ii. Plantation plan details of 2023-24 comprising of:
a. Plans for linear plantation i.e. roadside, central verges, etc.
b. Areas identified for block plantation in open space, parks, etc.
c. Plans for plantation in Educational institutions, R&D institutions, etc.

Under various directions of this court, for nearly half a decade the
Department of Forests and Wildlife, GNCTD has planted lakhs of
trees in hundreds of acres of forest lands in the Central and Southern
Ridge and nurtured them as Insaaf Bagh (Justice Park) and Muafi
Bagh (Atonement Park) respectively. The orders for plantation of
trees extended to other parts of the city as well.
